Dr. Ashim Barman is a highly accomplished and experienced professional in the field of administration. With a strong educational background and a wealth of practical knowledge, he excels in managing and overseeing administrative operations. Dr. Barman earned his MBA in Human Resource Management from Vinayaka Mission University, Tamil Nadu, in May 2013. Later, he furthered his expertise in administration by obtaining his Ph.D. from Assam down town University. Prior to his MBA, he obtained a distinguished 3-year Diploma in Hotel Management, Catering, and Applied Nutrition from Durgapur Society of Management Science, Durgapur, Kolkata. After completing his diploma, Dr. Ashim Barman embarked on a remarkable journey in the hotel management industry, where he honed his skills and expertise in service sector dynamics and food industry operations. In 2003, he joined down town hospital, where he quickly rose through the ranks, holding pivotal roles in the Food Service Department.
His responsibilities included Deputy Manager and Manager, allowing him to develop a comprehensive understanding of managing diverse teams and ensuring top-notch service delivery. This tenure was extended until 2009.In 2008, Dr. Barman was entrusted with the vital position of Administrative Officer at Sankar Madhab Medical College & Hospital. During his tenure, which spanned until 2010, he exhibited exceptional leadership and organizational abilities, effectively streamlining administrative processes. In this capacity, he continues to exhibit his unwavering commitment to administrative excellence.

Dr. Joydeep Goswami is an able academician and researcher with demonstrated abilities in Research; particularly Social Research. Started his career with North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) in Shillong, as Research Associate and later shifted to teaching Economics at both undergraduate (Honours Subjects) and Postgraduate levels. In 1996, he moved to Assam as a Lecturer of Economics and later went on to become HoD Economics. He also taught papers on Tourism Management, Entrepreneurship and Environmental Economics. He has proven his ability with academic administration by being a member of various committees, including, Program Officer NSS Cell and Coordinator, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in finalizing reports for NAAC. In 2007, Dr. Goswami joined the National Council of Applied Economics Research (NCAER), New Delhi and worked extensively on projects like the India Human Development Report, Sponsored by the University of Maryland, USA, Third Handloom Census, sponsored by the Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India, Reading Habits among the Indian Youth, Sponsored by Book Trust of India, Status of Para Teacher in India, sponsored by Ministry of Human Resource Development and others.
Dr. Goswami also worked for a brief period with the Indian Planning Commission being a part of the NCAER team. He has a few research project reports and research papers to credit. Dr. Goswami joined Era Business School as an Associate Professor in 2010 and along with teaching has also taken responsibility for Examinations. Later, he was promoted to Professor and entrusted with the responsibility of PGP (Post-Graduate Programme) Convener. Dr. Goswami also visited various institutions for campus placement across the country as part of the employment of young Engineers and Management students for Era Group. In March 2014, Dr. Goswami joined the Jagan Institute of Management Studies as Dean, Examination. He has been involved in teaching courses and mentoring the students besides looking after the examination. He has been associated with conducting the online examination and also actively involved in conducting examinations including Final Project Viva through online mode during the lockdown period. In January 2021, Dr. Goswami joined as Controller of Examinations at Assam down town University.

Prof. Mahendra Kumar Modi is a seasoned academician with extensive experience in academic administration. He began his career at Assam Agricultural University (AAU) in 1985 as an Assistant Professor in Plant Breeding and Genetics after earning his Master’s degree with distinction from the same institution. In 1995, he completed his PhD in Biotechnology from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University and was subsequently appointed as an Associate Professor in the Department of Agricultural Biotechnology at AAU, Jorhat. He later served as the Professor and Head of the department.
During his tenure at AAU, Prof. Modi also held the role of Professor-in-Charge of the Agricultural Knowledge Management and Information Technology (AKMIT) Cell, where he introduced significant administrative reforms, including the implementation of the e-file system and e-governance initiatives.
Prof. Modi has served in various capacities within national scientific bodies and is currently a member of the National Steering Committee on Human Resource Development of the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. His research interests include genomics, genomics-assisted crop improvement, and bioinformatics. He has published extensively in these areas and has made notable contributions to the farming community in Assam. He was instrumental in developing submergence-tolerant rice varieties such as Ranjit Sub-1 and Bahadur Sub-1 and the promising submergence-tolerant and bacterial blight-resistant rice variety Patkai.
After retiring from active service at AAU, Prof. Modi joined Assam down town University as the Executive Dean. He brings his vast expertise to the university's academic management, contributing significantly to its day-to-day operations.
